"But He was pierced for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace
was upon Him,
and by His wounds we are healed."
Isaiah 53:5 (Also see 1 Peter 2:24)
When reading not only this passage, but all of Isaiah 53,
it showed me just how much Jesus truly loves us and
all that He went through for each and everyone of us.
The full extent of His suffering is impossible for us
to fathom.
We would like to think that we could do what He did,
but we would only be lying to ourselves.
When Yeshua, Jesus, was arrested what did the disciples
do? They took off. (Mark14:50)
What did Peter do? He denied Him three times. (Mark 14:72)
I doubt that we would be any different.
While I am going through this physical and trying condition (CEBV),
verse five reminds me that I am already healed and that I am just
waiting on the manifestation to take place. I know that this too will
pass.
No matter what I may be feeling in my body it amounts to nothing
compared to what our Lord had to endure.
There may be times when I feel like I cannot take anymore and it
is in those times that He gives me more grace.
Jesus did it all on Calvary and He did it for you and for me.
Father,
I thank You for Your reminder that You will see me through
this and any other thing that may come my way.
I am so grateful to have you in My life. You truly are a friend
that sticks to me closer then a brother.
In Jesus name,
Amen

Stressful Times: March 29, 2012
"If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.
For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God." Colossians 3:1-3
I have been going through alot of stress recently as I know so many others are.
A friend recently reminded me that I am not to focus on the things that are
around me which I admit has not been easy.
It is hard while you are within situations to try to maintain a healthy focus
on Christ and all He has done for me.
She told me that I should read Colossians 3:1-3 every night and make it
personal and though I have fallen short of actually putting it into practice
I did remember to read it this morning.
I am going to do my best at trying to remember that though I may live
in this world that I am not of this world.
Father, I ask that you help me and others to remember that You are truly
are source for all things. To cope we need You.
I am hidden with Christ in God. Amen.

"So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three: but the greatest of these is love."
1Corinthians 13:13 ESV
While at my mother-in-law's funeral I began to ponder on how she affected all the
lives around her. From the smallest of her great-grandchildren, to her grandchildren,
to her oldest child, friend or neighbor she always made everyone feel at home.
The word LEGACY popped into my mind and I then realized the legacy she left
with us all. There is absolutely no question about it. It was totally and undeniably
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!!!!!
I can only pray that I will have such a legacy to pass on to all my loved ones.
Thanks mom for all you imparted to me.
Father, help us to cling to Your truth and abide in Your ways that we may also
leave such a blessed legacy. Amen.

Cast Your Cares on the Lord
"Cast your cares on the Lord
and He will sustain you;
he will never let the righteous
fall." Psalm 55:22
In reading this scripture I realized that there are just too many times that
I forget this truth.
When a problem comes to the surface where do I run? I do not like not
being in control, so try as I will, it all ends up being in vain. I just end up
wallowing in fear and struggling to stay afloat rather then giving it to God.
I forget where my salvation lies.
Forgive me, O Lord, when I forget to run into Your arms in my times of need.
You are always here for me and all I have to do is reach out and call on your
name. In Jesus name. Amen

Matthew 10:26 (NIV)
"... There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known."
In reading Matthew 10:26 this morning I discovered that God sometimes, purposely, keeps us in the dark so that we will relinquish control to Him.
The unknown is frightening to us, but God will reveal what is hidden in His timing. The season of 'truth' will come to 'light'.
Whether it is in our individual lives, corporately, or governmental, the concealed will not stay hidden forever.
God has a way of bringing things to the surface just at the right time. We ourselves may not see it as being such, but His ways are not our ways and we are not to question why, but believe in faith that He has all under control.
Father, thank you for revealing to us those things that have been hidden and allowing us to once again see You at work in our lives and the lives others. In Jesus name, Amen.
