Piousness

1 Corinthians 3:1-4
"Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly- mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men?

These verses made me think of how Christians try to act so pious and how week after week they sit and listen to what is being sung and preached, but then go home and gossip or quarrel.

They put themselves on pedestals and then blame everyone else for the divisions within the body/church.

They are so busy looking at one another and their shortcomings and ignore their own. (Matthew 7:3)

They need to be following Christ and Christ alone. They are not to be petty and arguing over non sequential things. (Romans 14:1-8)

We Christians have been bought by a price with the blood of Jesus. No one is better then another and we must treat one another with compassion and love.

Prayer:
Father, I pray for the body of Christ and myself that we let go of all things that tend to bring discord and lack of harmony. Teach us to continually walk in your truths.
In Christ I pray,
Amen

"In peace I will both lie down and sleep,
For Thou alone, O Lord, dost make me to dwell in safety."
Psalm 4:8 (NASB)

My favorite verse of this psalm of King David.
It is a promise for all who put their trust in Him. I can rest assured that You are always with me whether I am awake or asleep. My part is to remain truthful to my call that You, O Lord, have given unto me.

Father,
Help me to continually keep my focus on You and not to lean on my own understanding. My desire is to do Your will and not to have my own way. Let me be selfless in my desires.
In Yeshua's name,
Shifra

Exodus 13:15
"And it came about, when Pharoah was stubborn about letting us go, that the Lord killed every first-born in the land of Egypt, both the first-born of man and the first-born of beast. Therefore, I sacrifice to the Lord the males, the first offspring of every womb, but every first-born of my sons I redeem."

You, O Lord, have done the same for me. By sacrificing Your Son, Your only begotten Son, You have redeemed me!

This is what You planned from the beginning. You want all mankind to know and receive the cleansing blood of Jesus.
It is Your desire for all to turn from sin and to trust in Your redeeming Love, unconditional love.

Oh Lord, thank You for saving me. Thank You for all You have taken me out of. I am so blessed not to be living my old wretched life. You have given me a life that is so exceptionally more then I could of ever hoped or dreamed of.

Forgive me, O Lord, when I fail to acknowledge Your awesomeness. Forgive me when I allow my selfish ways to take precedence. Forgive me when I try to do things my own way.  Forgive me when I give into the weakness of my flesh.

I truly want to do Your will and I want Your desires to be fulfilled in my life. I want all that is not of You to be stripped from my life.

Make me strong where I am weak. Encourage me when I feel defeated.

Amen

Passover

Exodus 8:1b
"Let My people go, that they may serve Me."
Exodus 8:22a
"But on that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, where my people are living,"
Exodus 8:23a
"Now you shall eat it in this manner: with your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste--it is the Lord's Passover."
Exodus 12:13
"And the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt."
Exodus 12:46b
"nor are you to break any bone of it."
John 19:33
"but coming to Jesus, when they saw He was already dead, they did not break His legs;"
John 19:36
"For these things came to pass, that the scripture might be fulfilled, "Not a bone of Him shall be broken.""

Passover and the Last Supper are one in the same.
In the natural God was restoring the nation of Israel out of the land of Egypt and Pharaoh's hands.

When God says "let my people go" he also meant it spiritually. He knew what was coming. He was telling Satan that he could not touch His children.

Jesus, Yeshua, became the final sacrificial Lamb for me and the world. All I had to do was to repent and give Him access. Hallelujah!

On Passover none of the bones of the sacrificed lamb were to be broken and this was a prophetic word. On the cross none of the bones of Jesus were broken.
This was the fulfillment of that word.

The blood on the doors kept the Angel of Death away just as the blood of Yeshua keeps Satan away. Thank you Lord God!
Satan can not step on the 'bloodline'!

Pharaoh was like the devil as he kept people enslaved just as the devil continues to do today. Through the blood of Jesus I am no longer under Satan's foothold, but I am a bond servant for Christ, my Messiah.

Thank You Father for the given of your Son and thank You Jesus for Your obedience to Your Father. Holy Spirit, thank you for filling me with revelation.
I give You praise and glory and I am so thankful that The Passover Lamb lives in me!!!! Amen.

"Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood." Acts 20:28

The blood of Jesus became my 'dowry' from the Father. It was the most expensive and most precious 'dowry' one could receive. It was a chest filled with love and life beyond anything I could of ever imagined.

Thank you Father for Your precious Son.
Thank You Jesus for Your sacrificial gift.
Thank You Holy Spirit for this revelation.

" But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. All men will hate you because of me. But not a hair of your head will perish. By standing firm you will gain life." Luke 21: 14-19

As a believer in Yeshua, Jesus, I may end up loosing friends, and I have, and relatives may also forsake me due to my beliefs. I may feel abandoned, but yet I am never alone as the Holy Spirit is always with me.
Persecution may come, but I will be comforted. I will be protected. I can stand and be courageous  because God is with me and I am never alone.

Proverbs 18:24 says, "A man of many friends comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being that friend that will never leave me.

Isaiah 65:1
"I permitted Myself to be sought by those who did not ask for Me.
I permitted Myself to be found by those who did not seek Me.
I said, "Here am I, here am I."
To a nation which did not call on My name."

God loves us so much that He willingly
showed Himself to us even before we sought Him out.

Look all around you. He is in the wind, He is in the sky, He is in all of creation. Creation came into being by the words of His mouth. ( Genesis 1:1-2:2)

We are all given the chance to know Him.

He has loved us from the beginning and it is up to you whether you want to receive His love and presence.

What will you do? Will you accept the gift of eternal love? It is up to you. The ball is in your park. Will it be yes or no?

Father, I pray for my readers who may not have made a commitment to follow you. I pray that You pierce their hearts with Your truth and that they no longer waiver. Show them Your love, mercy and grace. May the gift of salvation be theirs. In Jesus name,
Amen
"that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;
for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."
Romans 10: 9 & 10
